    Bachelor of Information Technology with Software Engineering [Honours]

    Program Synopsis


    This program is designed to fulfill the world-wide need for information technology (IT) professionals with software engineering skills to design and develop a complex and efficient software.
    The objectives of the program are:


    • To produce workforce that has the skills in IT and Software Engineering

    • To produce graduates who have the understanding on the programming techniques, principles and practice in Software Engineering

    • To produce graduates that have the knowledge and skills in Software Engineering and professional issues to start their career as a software engineer

    • To produce graduates that can demonstrate understanding and capability in applying theory and model which are the fundamentals in identifying and analyzing a problem, designing systems, construction, implementation, verification and documentation.




    Candidates are required to accumulate 104 credit hours of prescribed courses in order to graduate.

    Students are required to register elective subjects only after completing all the core subjects to be taken in the first and second year and also have taken the appropriate prerequisite subjects unless with the special permission from the faculty.

For Engineering or Computer Science Programs, the Three electives should include Elective Mathematics and Elective Science (Physics, plus Chemistry or Biology).

    Bachelor of Information Technology with Network Computing [Honours]

    Program Synopsis


    The course was introduced in response to need to meet the shortfall in graduates with skills in the field of computer networking. This course aims to train specialist network engineers who can provide a totally integrated solution for the design, installation and operation of complex computer systems focusing on computer networks.

    Candidates are required to complete 102 credit hours of prescribed work in order to graduate.

    Bachelor of Information Technology and Management [Honours]

    Program Synopsis


    Bachelor of Information Technology and Management with Honours program aims to equip graduates with the necessary knowledge in management and information technology.
    The breadth of the program and the range of skills which it provides have been proven to be attractive to the employers in a wide variety of industries. The IT and management knowledge gained by graduates will enable them to work in consultancy firms as IT officers, IT project managers, business system analysts or software developers for business applications.

    Program Synopsis


    The Bachelor of Information Technology with Electronic Commerce (Honours) degree is a four-year program comprising 102 credits hours. The program aims to provide students with knowledge in two main areas:
    Business and commerce theory and practice, including financial services

    E-commerce and technology knowledge to support the development of e-commerce systems and solutions in business including strategic planning, systems analysis and design, knowledge of programming, databases and networks for e-commerce.

It equips learners with a wide array of knowledge, encompassing various facets of IT such as programming and systems design while the main accounting components are finance, management accounting and auditing.

    Program Synopsis

    The objectives of the Computer Science program — which is in-line with the mission of AIT, is to produce high calibre graduates in Computer Science using internationally benchmarked curriculum. As such the Program is designed to meet the IEEE stipulations and the requirements for computing degrees. The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and associated skills in the broad field of computer science.
    Over the four year program a range of skills-based, generic subjects will be sustained in order to develop the student as a versatile graduate and as a 'life-long learner'. Students on this program will acquire systems design, and communication skills and be prepared for employment in a broad spectrum of computing, or for continued study at the postgraduate level.

    Bachelor of Multimedia Communications

    Program Synopsis

    Multimedia communications is a broad field of study with a variety of specific focuses. Careers as diverse as broadcast journalism, audio engineering and filmmaking all fall under the multimedia communications umbrella. Multimedia communications is a wide-ranging and constantly evolving field. Students who may not want to pick a particular specialty within the field, such as television broadcasting, journalism, graphic design or animation, but instead want a broad understanding of multimedia communication as a whole, might consider enrolling in a degree program in multimedia communications.

    The multimedia design programme is built on four core areas: The business, communication and presentation, interaction development, and design and visualisation. You are given input for designing games, web portals and mobile services in addition to digital video, 3D and databases.
